Acupuncture
The needles are very thin, made from stainless steel, sterile and used once before they are thrown away. Inserting one is not painful. Most people feel a slight sting as it goes in and nothing more than that. Electro acupuncture is also offered. Treatment can run at the same time as the medicine you already take, and Dr. Liu will ask you to keep seeing your own physician alongside it.
The World Health Organization cited 104 conditions acupuncture can address in a 1979 report, the FDA classed the acupuncture needle as a medical device in 1993, and the US National Institutes of Health found clear evidence for its use in postoperative and chemotherapy nausea, nausea in pregnancy and postoperative dental pain in 1997. Those are the positions of those three bodies, not a claim made by this clinic.
What a session involves
